La Leche League GB provides breastfeeding training for health care professionals, through courses and our acclaimed Breastfeeding Peer Counsellor Programme.
Our aim is to provide high quality training at a local level to help you to support mothers to breastfeed in your area.
Peer Counsllor Programme evaluation
A major independent evaluation has shown that LLLGB's Peer Counsellor Programme makes a measurable difference to the mothers' experiences of breastfeeding. It has raised breastfeeding initiation rates by up to 32 percentage points in the target areas, and has also been shown to increase breastfeeding duration rates (see Evaluation Summary and Evaluation Report).
