We're excited to be able to share with you Emily Lunny's new book: Breastfeeding, Autism & ADHD: Understanding extra support needs and positives for the Autistic or ADHD breastfeeding mother, parent and child. It's an easy to read summary of the positives and challenges of breastfeeding for autistic and ADHD women and people, and those breastfeeding an autistic child. The book is super accessible to ND people (and anyone else interested in breastfeeding and neurodiversity).
Emily is an LLL Leader and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), autistic mother and mother to autistic children. She has specialised for many years in supporting parents to breastfeed their autistic children, also regularly speaking and writing on the topic of autism in pregnant or breastfeeding women.

We wanted to share with you this lovely photo taken at our Anniversary Conference recently. It shows keynote speakers Diane Wiessinger and Teresa Pitman, two of the authors of the wonderful LLL books Sweet Sleep and The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding. Diane is perched on the speakers' table demonstrating and talking about the 'cuddle curl' position that a breastfeeding mother naturally adopts when sharing a sleep surface with her baby. Our Anniversary Conference on 14–15th October was a celebration of 60 years of La Leche League International and 45 years of LLL in Great Britain. It was also a rare opportunity for Nicola, Kate and Sue, the team of LLL Leaders who run our Shop to see one another in person! Here they are above showing off some of the great range of books and leaflets we stock. Although Sue, Kate and Nicola live miles apart they run our Shop very successfully with the help of the Internet and the efficient staff at our fulfilment company based in Lancing. In addition to taking care of customer orders, sourcing new products and doing the business admin voluntarily in their spare time, they all remain active LLL Leaders helping mothers and running meetings.

At the LCGB Conference keynote speaker Maureen Minchin shared her understanding of the generational effects on the immune system and DNA when breastfeeding doesn't happen and how this might relate to the increase in allergies seen currently. This is explored in greater depth in her book Milk Matters: infant feeding and immune disorder.
