2016 will be the 60th Anniversary year of La Leche League. Our calendar is a celebration. Each one of the 12 beautiful photos in this calendar was submitted by parents who wanted to share those 'Precious Moments' from their family lives and help us raise much needed funds to support breastfeeding families in Great Britain. Every photo is accompanied by a quotation from our book The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding.

The exciting world of solid foods

Introducing your baby to other foods can be fun. The simplest way is to continue your usual breastfeeding pattern and let your baby join you at family mealtimes. He'll be able to handle, taste and explore new foods gradually and in his own time. Our DVD and booklet explain how you can introduce solids in a natural way alongside breastfeeding. And our information sheet Toddlers and Food explores ways to continue this process into the second year when many toddlers suddenly start being more discerning about what they will and won't eat. The booklet Breastfeeding & Dental Health discusses the different factors that may contribute to tooth decay and what you can do to help protect those important first teeth.

Established favourites and new titles

We've been packing up our range of study and reference books and favourite titles along with our popular information sheet and booklet packs. We've all be awaiting the shipment of the reprinted Breastfeeding Answers Made Simple Pocket Guides from the USA. And the goods news is – they're here at last!
Those of you who have used Nancy Mohrbacher's comprehensive reference guide, Breastfeeding Answers Made Simple, will find her pocket guide version a lighter-weight, portable option that really can be kept handy for use when supporting mothers anywhere. At just 370g we think it's second to none.

When you choose to buy from us you can be reassured that everything we sell is in line with LLL philosophy of mothering through breastfeeding. We'll use any profits from your purchases to further our work supporting breastfeeding mothers and babies.
La Leche League is an international non-profit organisation. In the UK, LLLGB has around 250 accredited breastfeeding counsellors (known as 'Leaders') who organise and run breastfeeding support meetings in their local area as well as supporting mothers one-to-one by phone, email and through social media. Our Leaders are all volunteers who have breastfed their own babies and completed LLL's internationally accredited training. They have chosen this role because they know the enormous difference it can make to have a supportive and informed friend on hand to talk to when difficulties arise. The support we offer is free, but there are costs in getting it to those who need it through our National Helpline, our website, our publications or our Leader training programme.

Our new website

We're delighted to mark 2015 by rolling out our new improved website. We hope it will make it easier to browse our products and shop with us. We're the first to admit that our old website didn't always work as it should and you didn't necessarily find it easy to use. We've taken all your comments and used them to guide us in developing our new site.

So what has changed on the new site?

It's quicker and simpler to make a purchase. You no longer need to make an account. Just enter your details and go to the checkout. You can pay by card or PayPal as before.

Better categories and search tool. We now have categories according to subject as well as product type to make it easier to find what you need.
Our site is enabled for mobile devices to make it much easier to shop using a phone or tablet.
We can now accept discount voucher codes online. (Leaders – please see our FAQs to find out how to continue getting your Leader discount.)
We hope you like our simple, elegant new look.
There's a lot more information in our FAQs pages about how to use the site, just in case you need help. We've included detailed info on how to find products, how to place an order, using discount coupons and voucher codes and what to do if there's problem with your order.
