These copies have been signed by the author Marian Tompson, whilst stocks last.
Marian Tompson never thought that her own determination to have natural births and breastfeed her babies would lead to a life spent speaking up for changes in childbirth practices, hospital procedures, infant nutrition standards and cultural norms. As a shy, young mother in the 1950s Marian discovered a great need for breastfeeding information and support and joined with six like minded women to set up a mother-to-mother support group. This group became La Leche League international which now has over 7,000 Leaders in 68 countries in the world. Marian has become an internationally renown author, speaker and tireless advocate for breastfeeding mothers and their babies. In 2001 she founded AnotherLook, the only organization of its kind designed to foster research and discussion about HIV and AIDS as they relate to breastfeeding. Marian has touched the lives of mothers and babies throughout the world and, at the centre of her life, is her own family and the happiness they have shared
