The Breast Book
The Breast Book is aimed at girls who are approaching puberty, so from around the age of ten upwards and, as the name suggests, talks about breasts and breastfeeding. It cleverly combines information about puberty and breast development, body confidence, consent, gender identity and breastfeeding into an easy-to-read but thought-provoking and informative whole, with moments of humour spread throughout.
This will be of interest to many mothers looking for a suitable book on puberty for their daughters. If you are buying this book for a pre-teen child in particular, we would suggest you read it beforehand, as you may feel that some of the topics addressed might go into a bit more detail than you feel your child is ready for, or perhaps read it together with your child, so you can offer further explanation as needed.
