Thrush is a fungal infection caused by an overgrowth of yeast-like organisms and can present with a variety of symptoms including pain. However diagnosis can be difficult and nipple thrush it is often wrongly diagnosed before other possibilities have been investigated.
This comprehensive and detailed information booklet is designed to help breastfeeding mothers and those supporting them identify whether a thrush infection is actually present and eliminate alternative causes. It provides information about commonly prescribed medications along with suggestions for self-help and non-medical treatment options.
